Is this ok to do? I know it might be louder to have it like this but I rather avoid tweaking it and keep the temps safe. Right now I set the fan speed only and I put it at 80%. I installed Afterburner and I’m not sure what to do really. I have tried to fix this by setting the Alienware Command Center fan offset for the top and front to be at 80% right now, and that might be higher than they need. I am having the same problem with my GPU fan spiking. Good job on the Afterburner software, good job on the card whoever made MSI Center, fire them.Reply to the other person having this issue is helpful. Now I cannot control my motherboard lighting at all but at least I can use my GPU fans. MSI staff, if you are reading this, that piece of software is despicably bad and needs an overhaul ASAP. I will never be using that terrible piece of software ever again in my life. MSI Center was trying to control my GPU temperatures. Curiously, that is the only type of control that I have found works at all on my MSI-brand 3080.ĮDIT: I found the problem. The only interaction that I can make to control the fan is using MSI Center's "Cooler Boost" to make the GPU fan spin at max speed for 30 seconds. The fan curve that is set to it is stuck and I cannot control the speed of the fan manually or send a curve to it via afterburner at all. I have used MSI Afterburner to send fan curves either via firmware or software to my GPU to make good use of the three large fans that came with my Ventus 3x 3080.
